AGNI ā€‹ā€‹

 

 

The God of Fire and a well wisher of the Baratas.

 

Agni, the Vedic god of fire. With Varuna and Inra. The link between heaven and earth, the deities and the humans, he is associated with Vedic sacrifice, taking offerings to the other world in his fire, his vehicle is the ram.  The Rigveda often says that Agni arises from water or dwells in the waters.

CHAYA

 

Cruel but gallant invador, Rough and tough warrior.

 

The Powerful invador. He was invited to join the enemy alliance. He appeared on  the spotted horse fiercely to lead the enemy alliance in the Yam River Battle but was defeated to King Sudas.

VAST

ā€‹ā€‹

The wise sage and spiritual advisor of King Sudas. He is a perfect hermit with complete knowledge, modesty, generousity, humility and faith on God. He turned down the conceit of Visa but instead of insulting him guided to gain knowledge to turn into a Brahin.  In this story, he encouraged Sudas to fight against the ten powerful kings and under his spiritual guidance Sudas defeated all the enemies in the consecutive two battles.

The God of the Wind and a well wisher of the Baratas.

 

Paban means air/wind, Pawan has thin, long limb, he moves very quickly like air/wind. 

 

Its also known as Vayu (Air) as PAWAN (Wind).

VISA

VISA

 

Visa is the most interesting character of this story. He was once a proud and arrogant Kshatriya King. His conceit had been demolished into dust when he met the sage Vast. Later he learnt supreme knowledge from Vast and was converted into a wise Brahin hermit but his thirst of power retained in his mind. Later, he joined the Royal Court of the Barata Kingdom as the Spiritual Advisor, but he helped Sudas more in the ground of politics and war policy than guide him spiritually. Thus  he quenched his thirst. But he turns into a dissatisfied but critically helpless character when Vast joined the court. He could neither accept Vast nor to reveal everything to Sudas. He left Sudasā€™s court in great annoyance but could not help the enemy alliance directly. He could not pluck out the only thorn of his glorious life. It was the Great Vast.

The God of Water and a well wisher of the Baratas.

 

General description: 

Baruna is the God of Water, a fair complexioned man riding a monster fish called MAKARA, which has the head and legs of an antelope. He may have two or four hands and in one of his right hands he carries a noose.

 

Quite, ever smiling, gentle, follower of Lord Inra.

MITRA

The God of god of Friendship and a well wisher of the Baratas.

 

Mitra is the God of god of Friendship and a well wisher of the Baratas. Together with Varuna, he counted among the Adityas, a group of solar deities, also in later Vedic texts. Vedic Mitra is the patron divinity of honesty, friendship, contracts and meetings.

 

Quite, friendly, gentle, follower of Lord Inra, follower of truth and spiritualism.

NANI

is the beautiful and sacred cow whom Indra presented to Vast. She is innocent ant gentle by nature, but when Visa retinues tortured her she became fierce and almost all the powerful Armies of the world took birth from her body.

INRA

ā€‹

 

The King of the Gods who always favoured the good Baratas with his advice and weapons.

 

Indra, the  King of the Gods,  always favoured the good Baratas with his advice and weapons, he rides a large, four-tusked white elephant called Airavata. 

BASU

ā€‹

 

A shrewd but greedy character who took part in the sabatoge against his own king and lost his life.

AGRA

ā€‹

 

A proud and greedy character who took part in the sabatoge against his own king. 

 

He tied up with the Chief Minister to capture the Bharata but finally lost his life.

SUDAS

ā€‹

 

Is the Hero of this story. Sudas is regarded as a Barata king of the Trtsu dynasty. He is a brave warrior as well as an ideal ruler. He is devotional like his ancestors. He is brave and confidence. He has a fixed belief on truth and spiritualism. This is why he never fears to face enemie, however strong they may be. He is a courageous hero, a responsable ruler, a good friend and a kind man with iron determination.

MOI

Moi is a beautiful girl of Puru tribe who was presented to Sudas during his coronation by the Puru King. Actually she was a spy in disguise. She is a good dancer too. She tries to make sabotage inside the Royal Court but in vain. She was set free by Sudas and she returns to the Puru Kingdom with a great respect on the personality of Sudas. She suggests the enemies of the Baratas to make an alliance if they want to acquire the Barata kingdom. The enemies accepted her suggession and made the alliance of Ten Kings.

SUE

ā€‹

 

Is the beautiful and wise queen of King Sudas. She is quite aware of  the happenings of the Barata Kingdom. Moreover, she is ever alert about the security of the king as well as his kingdom. In our story only Sue got the smell of conspiracy first when a beautiful girl was presented to Sudas during his coronation. She kept secret watch and the sabotage was revealed to Sudas. She is an ideal wife of a warrior. She makes her husband ready for the fierce battle and encourages him to fight against all the ordeals.
